We hydrate the gelatin in a few tablespoons of cold water, then incorporate it into the warm juice. Homogenize and leave to cool.

Pour the juice into molds and refrigerate until it thickens. They are easily removed from the molds and rolled in sugar or left simple, depending on preference.

Fruit jellies and agar-agar

Fruit jellies and agar-agar perfect for an honorable treat!

For our birthday, for children of all ages, I thought of celebrating it properly. So I offer you some candies or rather, jellies with fruit and agar-agar, made with love (this is about me) and impatience (here, about him, the child who walks around the yard and asks every 2 minutes if it is ready).

Ingredients

Steps needed to prepare

  1. More n icircnt & acirci is prepared fruit nectar. When using agar-agar, keep in mind that more acidic fruits, such as citrus fruits, strawberries, raspberries, etc., require a larger amount of agar in order to gelatinize.
  2. Other fruits, such as kiwi, pineapple, fresh figs, papaya, mango and peaches contain enzymes that prevent the agar from acting, which is why they can only be used if they are previously cooked.
  3. This time, I used a plum compote (3-4 plums and juice from the compote) and a few fresh cherries, without seeds, which I mixed well in a blender until I obtained a liquid the consistency of a smoothie.
  4. Mix the agar-agar with the cold fruit nectar, then simmer for 5 minutes. At the end, add the honey, taste it and you can add the spices if necessary.
  5. Pour the composition & icircn forms for candies and leave to cool for about 10 minutes.

Touch lightly with your finger to check if they are ready. This is done every minute to satisfy the curiosity of impatient little lust

A few hours before, unfold the pie sheets, thawed beforehand, and spread them in a large tray and leave to dry. They can be left in the evening until morning, in a warm place. Then crush it lightly and put it in the baking tray. Use a tray of about 26/36 cm.

Sprinkle the eggs with salt, then mix with the sugar until frothy. Add the finely grated orange peel, the oil and the yoghurt in which the baking powder is extinguished. Homogenize the composition and pour over the pie sheets in the pan. Leave it like this for 10-15 minutes to hydrate the pie sheets. Meanwhile, turn the oven to 180 degrees.

The syrupy pie with intense orange flavor is baked for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees, or until it is well browned on the surface. Then leave to cool.

Meanwhile, prepare the syrup for the Portokalopita pie. Squeeze the juice from 3 oranges and mix with water, sugar and orange peel, finely grated. Boil the syrup until the sugar melts, then leave to cool.

When the pie is well cooled, portion it and pour the cold syrup over it. Place the tray with the cold syrup pie until all the syrup is absorbed. From time to time, sprinkle the portions of the pie with the syrup from the tray, so as not to dry on the surface.

Sugar-free fruit jellies of 3 ingredients

I kept the children away from sweets (especially commercial ones) as much as I could. It was easier for Iris to be the first child and not have anyone to see eating sweets (that we parents managed to hide quite well). It's just that they grew up and saw, especially at the mall, when we go to the movies, all kinds of jellies that are more and more colorful and it's true that they winked at me too. So I looked for homemade jelly recipes and came up with a very simple, easy and quick combination to make.

As ingredients you need:

  • -200 ml strained fruit juice (ie without pulp) & # 8211
  • 1 sachet (2 teaspoons) agar-agar (it's a natural gelatin from red algae and you can find it in health food stores)
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup (or whatever sweetener you prefer)

Put the fruit juice in a saucepan and mix it with agar-agar and maple syrup. Then put on the fire and stir until it starts to boil. Set aside and pour into molds. Leave to cool a bit at room temperature and then refrigerate until it hardens. (about 1-2 hours).
