lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef

tablespoon Italian seasoning

jar (14 oz) tomato pasta sauce

box Betty Crocker™ Hamburger Helper™ beef pasta

cup shredded Parmesan cheese (2 oz)

tablespoons shredded fresh basil leaves

In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef, onions, carrot and celery over medium-high heat 10 to 12 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is thoroughly cooked and vegetables are softened; drain.

Stir in Italian seasoning, pasta sauce and hot water. Stir in uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Hamburger Helper™ box). Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 11 to 14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.

Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese and basil leaves.
Expert Tips
- We used tomato basil pasta sauce for testing, but feel free to experiment with your favorite flavors of pasta sauce.
- Like a little heat? Stir in 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes with the Italian seasoning.
